Devlog #8 - Prototype Final

To start the week, I created a drill script. For the security bar doors, players must place down a drill and wait for the lock to open. The system is completely synced over the network and can only be activated once per game. Post prototype, I need to add drill jamming and police intervention.

I created a new task for the objective system, where you must collect a certain amount of money. This is so that collecting all the loot isn’t necessary, and a trigger to wait for the escape van. Currently the van sits outside of the map, waiting to be activated by finishing all the objectives.

On mine and my friends first playtest, I realised how impossible it was win due to the enemy count and damage. I adjusted these accordingly for my prototype, added a dead state which currently just revives the player back to full health after 20 seconds. I also added additional subtitle triggers when entering the bank and entering the vault for immersion.

The prototype is all ready to be recorded for my presentation!
