Situation: Finish the final enemy to be added into the current game, and make any remaining tweaks to the game

Task:

  • Source enemy weapon asset
  • Source attack animation
  • Create two unique attacks for shield archetype

Action: To finish of the last fortnight of production, I started work on the shield archetypes behaviour graph. Much like the goblins, the skeleton will walk until in orbit range. Unlike the goblin, they can only use close attacks.

I have equipped the goblin with a mace which is slammed into the ground. The idea is that debris would come up from the floor and smash into the player. While attacking, the skeleton cannot turn, giving the player an opportunity to flank and kill the enemy.

During the second week, I created the particle using unitys particle system. The first attack I made was a shockwave attack, that will play three times, each time getting a step closer to the player. If the particle hits you, you take damage.

The second attack uses the same arc shape, this time popping in and out of the ground and shooting forward towards the player.

Dash Attack

Result: This is my last update to the project, and I think I met all targets and we did well as a team to create our vision. This period I successfully create a unique enemy to add variation to the game and add another variation of attacks to watch out for.
